Good Mental
Health for all
Today I want to
You and your community should be able to live life to the full. That’s why we're continuing to find ways to prevent mental health problems.
This week's highlights

What we do
Programmes
Testing and evaluating the best approaches to improving mental health in communities across Wales and rolling them out as widely as possible.

Research
Publishing studies and reports on what protects mental health as well as the causes of poor mental health in Wales and how to tackle them.

Policy and advocacy
Proposing solutions and campaigning for change to address the underlying causes of poor mental health in Wales.

The Foundation in Wales

Collaborative working
Our projects and policy work with partners collaboratively, aiming at addressing inequalities and using credible and creative methodology to our evaluation and research.

Learning Partners
We work alongside a variety of different organisations, and are a ‘critical friend’. We listen to organisations to support their learning around wellbeing and highlight the impact they have on staff or a community.

Innovation
We work in innovative ways to try to prevent mental health problems by ‘Doing’ (projects) and ‘Influencing’ (policy).
Highlights

Cardiff City FC’s Foundation (CCFCF) programme
The CCFCF programme works with young people to offer opportunities in sport, education and skill based learning, helping them access positive activities of interest to them, while attempting to influence positive behaviour change.

Single Parents Wellbeing
Single Parents Wellbeing works with single parents to help them share tips and experiences with each other so they feel less alone and more able to cope with everyday challenges.

Show your support by wearing a green ribbon
The green ribbon is the international symbol of mental health awareness. Wear a green ribbon to show colleagues, loved ones or simply those you walk past in the street that you care about mental health.
Joan, Long Covid Peer Support ProjectNone of my friends or family had Long Covid or knew much about it previously. Joining the group has helped me realise I’m not alone, and that there are other people sharing similar experiences. Finding out there are other people in my boat has really benefitted my mental health.
Lora, Perthn Refugee ProjectThe group have the opportunity to share their experiences, which are often similar, and they can learn from each other and know they are not alone. We try to create a safe place, a place where people can talk, and we hope this is where the magic of healing can start to take place
